  This week sees 190 Try Athletics Events taking place across the country. The events are being hosted to mark 100 days to go until the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics and provide a chance for people to get involved in athletics.

  Anne O’Connell is a 66-year-old woman from the London Borough of Newham. Having only had partial sight in childhood, she later developed a disease which caused her to lose her sight completely. However, she has not once let this affect her enthusiasm for just about everything!

  
  
• 12 Apr 12 New running group sets a great example
  

  Consett running group started earlier this month after two members of running club Blackhill Bounders, attended a LiRF course and has proved a great example of how to go about setting up a running group.
