I’m a Sport Maker:
How can I get others involved in Run England?
There are already thousands of Run England groups across the country and they are always looking for more support. Click here to find your local group. There are a number of ways you can ‘make Run England happen’ for your friends:
- Find a local Run England group that is convenient for you and your friends
- Promote Run England in your workplace or University, remind them of the benefits and persuade people to come along
- Keep encouraging people to come back, check who wants to go at the start of each week
- Remind your friends, colleagues and neighbours of the time and venue and don’t let them forget their trainers!
How can I start my own group?
Although there are hundreds of groups already, you may want to start your own. You could start a group in your workplace, neighbourhood, school or university. If you are interested in setting up a group, click here to find info about the Leadership in Running Fitness course. The course provides a qualification, leader's licence and insurance, in just one day! It doesn’t matter if you have never run before or if you’re an experienced runner, this course gives you the skills to become a group leader.
